The Crossville Fire Department prides itself as being a leader in the Upper Cumberland in the area of technical rescue. We provide emergency response in rope resuce, confined space rescue, structural collaspe rescue, and trench rescue. Crossville and Cumberland County Fire Departments partner together to form a joint rescue team for response throughout the Upper Cumberland Region.
Members of the department are trained in low and high angle rope rescue and respond to calls for help in all of Cumberland County and surrounding counties.
Firefighters are trained in confined space rescue to support our local industries as the Confined Space Emergency Response Team for our area. We partner with several area industries to practice response to these extremely dangerous emergencies.
Crossville Firefighters are trained in structural collaspe rescue to respond to building collaspes from tornadoes and other natural disasters. We are fortunate to be a leader in the Upper Cumberland for this type of service.
Firefighters are trained in trench rescue to perform extrication and removal of persons who become trapped or buried during industrial accidents.
