PART TIME OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE - PALACE THEATRE
  • We are accepting online applications for a PART TIME Operations Associate with the Palace Theatre and Crossville Depot.  This is a part-time position that will not exceed 28-30 hours per seven day week.  Hourly rate of pay is $13.50. Nights and weekends will be required with this position, dependent on scheduled events.  Applicants will need a valid TN Drivers’ License as well as ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.  Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.

    MAINTENANCE WORKER - PUBLIC WORKS
  • We are accepting online applications for a Maintenance Worker with the Public Works Department.  This is a full-time position, with complete benefit package.  Starting annual salary is 13.65/hour, $28,392/annually with a 5% increase after 6 months. This position is responsible for general maintenance, mowing, weedeating and upkeep of City facilities.  The schedule for this position is Monday – Thursday, 6:00AM to 4:30PM.  Candidates must possess a valid TN Drivers’ License and will be required to complete, and pass, a physical and drug screen.  Applications will be accepted until position is filled.

     

    FIREFIGHTER

    We are accepting online applications for a Firefighter.  This is a full-time position, with complete benefit package.  Starting annual salary is $29,806.40 for a non-certified Firefighter.  Salary increases as certifications are obtained.  Candidates will be required to complete, and pass, a written exam followed by a physical agility test.  Candidates that pass the written exam and agility test will be invited to an interview before a panel of firefighters.  Qualified candidates will be contacted with a schedule for the exam. Applicants will need proof of identity, valid TN Drivers’ License and able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening. 

    PARKS AND RECREATION MAINTENANCE WORKER

    We are accepting online applications for a Parks and Recreation Maintenance Worker.  This is a full-time position, with complete benefit package.  Starting annual salary is 13.65/hour, $28,392/annually with a 5% increase after 6 months. This position is responsible for maintenance and upkeep of facilities and activities at Centennial Park, Duer Soccer Complex and Garrison Park splash pad.  This position will work a schedule of Thursday – Monday, 3:30PM to 12:00AM.  Some holidays will also be required.  Candidates must possess a valid TN Drivers’ License and will be required to complete, and pass, a physical and drug screen.  Applications will be accepted until position is filled.

     

    PARKS AND RECREATION
    SEASONAL
    MAINTENANCE WORKERS

    We are accepting online applications for SEASONAL Parks and Recreation Maintenance Workers.  Seasonal positions do not exceed 7 months and do not include benefits.  Hourly rate is $12.00. This position is responsible for assistance with maintenance and upkeep of facilities and activities at Centennial Park, Duer Soccer Complex, Garrison Park splash pad and Meadow Park Lake.  Employees can be assigned to one park or multiple parks depending on event schedules.  Holidays and weekends will be required.  Candidates must possess a valid TN Drivers’ License and will be required to complete, and pass, a physical and drug screen.  Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.

     

    POLICE OFFICER - CROSSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT

    We are accepting online applications for Police Officers.  Qualified candidates will be required to pass a preliminary background check and complete an interview process before a panel of police officers.  Candidates will be contacted individually for information to complete the preliminary background check.  The Police Officer position will start at an annual salary of $31,304.00 for a non-certified police officer.  A POST certified police officer will start at an annual salary of $39,697.00, with a 5% salary increase at the conclusion of 6 months.  The job of Police Officer is a full-time position that includes a full benefits package.

    REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:

    • Be at least 21 years of age.
    • Be a citizen of the United States.
    • Be a high school graduate or possess a GED.  No waivers will be granted for minimum education requirements.
    • Never been convicted of, pled guilty to, or entered a plea of Nolo Contendere to any felony charge or to any violation of Federal or State laws or City ordinances relating to force, violence, theft, dishonesty, gambling, liquor or controlled substance.
    • Never been released or discharged under any other than honorable discharge from any of the armed forces of the United States.
    • Have his/her fingerprints on file with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
    • Pass a post-employment offer physical and drug screen by a physician chosen by the City of Crossville.
    • Be free of all apparent mental disorders as described in the Diagnostic and Statistical maual of Mental Disorders, Third Edition (DSM-II) of the American Psychiatric Association.
    • Pass a psychological exam by a psychiatrist or psychologist appointed by the City of Crossville.
    • If applicant is not certified, they must be able to attend and complete the Basic Police Academy.
