The City Clerk’s Office maintains and preserves all public records, contracts, the city seal, ordinance books, resolution books, and minutes of the City Council, Planning Commission, and other boards and committees. In addition, the City Clerk’s Office is responsible for the City’s adherence to established regulations governing permitting, licensing, and public notices. In day-to-day activities, the City Clerk serves as the office responsible for business licenses, beer permits, liquor licenses, solicitation permits, peddler permits, taxicab permits, obtaining easements, preparation of Council agendas, packets, and minutes, maintenance of the City Hall building, annexations, and contract oversight.
